Anil Kumble Indian Highest Wicket Taking Bowlers

Anil Kumble is one of the rising stars in the sky of world cricket. The man of golden arm has taken near about 1000 wicket at international cricket and only two Legends Australian Shan Warn and Mutia Murlidharen ahead of him. This Highest wicket taking bowlers of India made his international debut in the year 1990s. Alongside successful career he also played the role of Indian head coach.

This tall right arm leg spin bowlers born in 17 October 1970 at Bangalore, Karnataka. His friends and family like to call him “Jambo”. In his childhood he likes to watch cricketer like B.S Chandrasekhar and others legend of Indian cricket. At the age of 19 he made his debut at first class cricket while he was representing Karnataka. His performance and ability to ball at right line and length give him chance to play for team India at Austral Asia Cup in the year 1990 Vs Sri Lanka. At the same year’s he made his test debut against England. Like other spinner Anil was not known for big spinner of the ball. He used to ball wicket to wicket that made him economic wicket taking bowlers. Anil Kumble has the record of taking 10 wickets in an inning as a second bowler do so in the history of world cricket.

Personal life
The boy of Karnataka was born in solvent family with high educational background. Anil Kumble is the son of Krishna Swamy and Saroja. He was a bright student and Kumble's primary school was Holy Saint English School and completes his college education from National College Basavanagudi. After that be get admission at Rashtreeya Vidyalaya College of Engineering (RVCE) in Mechanical Engineering department and complete his graduation. He is a happy family man with three children’s and wife.
Early cricketing Career
Anil used to play street cricket in his school life. In the age of 13 he joined a club called "Young Cricketers" at Bangalore. Before his debut at first class cricket for Karnataka, Anil was playing for local team and getting familiar for his ability to ball stump to stump. In the year 1989 he made his debut against Hyderabad and talking 4 wickets. That performance gives him chance to play at Indian U 19 national team. Although he got chance to play as blower but his batting performance was not bad too. He made 113 in the first test and 76 in the second. Very next year he got chance to play for team India Vs Sri Lanka in an ODI match in the year 1990’s of Austral Asia Cup. He also made his debut at the same year in test arena against England. In the series of three test matches he got chance to play at second on at Manchester and he picked up 3 wickets conceding 105 runs in the first innings and went wicket-less in the second innings of the match which resulted in a draw.
ODI Career
Since his debut against Sri Lanka in the year 1990’s, Anil kumble became the regular member of Indian ODI teams. He was not known as a big spinner of the ball but known for hard working attitude. Along with wicket taking ability he knew how to restrict the batsman. This economical bowlers surprisingly drop out from 1992 World cup team. After that he work hard and cement the spots at ODI team. This tall right arm quick spin bowlers played 271 matches and made 938 runs at average of 10.20. Main highlights of his career is bowling ability, this right arm bowler has taken 337 wickets with average of 30.9 and excellent economy of 4.31. His best bowling performance was against 6 for 12 against West Indies. He got 5 wickets hold in a match for two times.
Test Career
Journey of test cricket is amazing for Anil kumble. He is the third highest wicket taking bowler in the history of test cricket after Sri Lankan Legend Muri and Australian spinner Shen Wane. Unlike both of them Anil was not known for spinning the ball but his strength was maintaining the right line and length. He was a consistent performer in the test matches. He made his debut against England in the 1990. Surprisingly, he was out of the team until 1992 having good start at his test career. His performance at Irani trophy Vs Dhili 13 for 138 bring him nation site again. He was selected for playing against Zimbabwe and South Africa. In the tour to South Africa he establish him shelf as a regular spinner of team India. He took 18 wickets at an average of 25.94 and with an economy rate of 1.84 in the four test series. His match winning performance was continuing at the home ground as well against England. Kumble took 21 wickets in three Tests at an average of 19.8. He made the record of taking 50 wickets at 10 test matches which is the fastest bowler to do so in the history of Indian cricket. After that he becomes the second fastest blower to take 100 wickets at the short time. Highlights of Kumble bowling career was against Pakistan at home series. Two match series was drowning 1-1. In that series Pakistan won the first matches. So, Indian team was looking for get back at the series. It was seems batsman ware enjoy the batting at playing shots all round the ground. At lunch, Kumble’s bowling figures was none for 27 from 6 over are bowled mostly from the Football Stand End. It was captain, Mohammad Azharuddin, asked Kumble to bowl at the pavilion end. At his new spell from pavilion end, he was getting some turn and India getting momentum to won the match. Two hours and 22 minutes since lunch break; it was good enough time for Anil kumble to make history by taking all 10 wickets in an inning. After that never look back at his career day by day he became more aggressive wicket taking economical bowlers. This tall right arm quick spin bowlers played 132 TEST  matches and made 2506 runs at average of 17.20 with 5 fifties and 1 centuries. He remains not out against West Indies with his highest 110 not out. Main highlights of his career is bowling ability, this right arm bowler has taken 619 wickets with average of 29.9 and excellent economy. His best bowling performance was 10 for 74 against Pakistan. He got 5 wickets hold in a match for35 times and 10 wickets in a match for 8 times.
Captaincy record
He also performs as a captain in the form of test cricket. After Rahul dravid set back from captaincy Indian team management give this major responsibility to experience Kumble. Kumble was appointed as the captain of the Indian Test cricket team on 8 November 2007. During his captaincy Indian played in total of 14 matches. Among them 7 at home and rest of the matches at abroad. At homes he won one test match and lost own and rest of the games been drawn. On the other hand, India won 1 match and lost two games and rest of the game been drawn up.
Club Cricketing Career 
He started his career from a club called “Young Cricketers" at the age of 13 at Bangalore. In India he represented several clubs. In 1995 English cricket season Kumble played for Northampton shire and was the leading wicket taker with 105 wickets at the average of 20.40.
Anil kumble represent Royal Challenger Bangalore at IPL. Since 2008 he led the team for 4 years and reach the team to the final at 2010 season. After his announcement of retirement from IPL on 4 January 2011 RCB appointed him as the chief mentor for the team.  Kumble left that position in January 2013, moving to a similar role with the Mumbai Indians, which he quit in November 2015.
Coaching Career
Anil kumble also played the role of Indian head coach for certain times. He was appointed as a head coach for one year but resigned from the post due do conflict with few senior players. As coach Anil record is excellent. As a coach his first assignment was against the West Indies in July where India played four Test matches. Completing the successful journey at the West Indies next tour was at New Zealand. Condition was not easy for the team but kumble boys done excellent job. They beat Nez Zealand 3-0 in that series. ndia also defeated England 4-0 in the five Test series in November-December and stretched their winning streak to three test series victory under Kumble as coach. India’s fourth Test series win came against Bangladesh; India went on to dominate on their home soil which marked as India’s 19-match unbeaten record in Tests. Team India also beat Australia at home soil and own the series 2-1. Although Anil kumble got minimum chance to face ODI cricket as a coach but still prove valuable for the team. Team India won two ODI series against New Zealand and England. Moreover India reached the final at the ICC Champions trophy too.
Anil has great cricketing career, since his debut at international arena. He made and broke number of records. Some of the records as follow.
 Taking 10 wickets against Pakistan at Channina India in a single innings of a test match is a world record. He is the second one to do this after Jim Laker.
  Kumble is the Most Test Wickets by Indian and third in the world, with 619 wickets behind Srilankan Muttiah  Muralitharan &Australian  Shane Warne
  Most International wickets by Indian and third in the world, with 956 wickets behind Srilankan Muttiah  Muralitharan &Australian  Shane Warne
 Till now kumble is the most ODI Wickets by Indian with 337 wickets
  Record for the most wickets in a calendar year by an Indian in ODIs with 61 wickets in 1996 is in the name of Kumble (which is also the third-highest total by a bowler of any nationality)
  He took No one then anil kumble get the highest wicket in a ground  56 wickets in Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
  Kumble holds the record of bowling 40850 balls in entire Test career, which is highest for an Indian and second highest overall
 Anil kumble won the Arjuna award in the year 1995.
 Anil is one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year, in 1996.
