India Vs New Zealand ODI series 2017

After winning the series against Australian, Indian team has started the new session with good mood. Young team members are really excited to perform well for the country. Moreover, blue boys are more dangerous when they are playing at their home soil. This time Indian team is getting ready to face the battle against black caps. New Zealand is always known as a hard team to compete. In recent time Captain and one of the best batsmen at three formats, Kane Williamson, has brought winning sprit among the players. New Zealand team knows that it will be not easy for them to perform will against India at Indian soil but at the same time they have few players how have been performing well for the IPL teams. So, supporters are hoping to have another fighting series between two teams. Moreover, eyes on both the captain and their performance.
In this tour, there will be 3 ODI and three 20T matches will be held.
First ODI match was held at Venue: Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai Date & Time: Oct 22, 01:30 PM LOCAL.
This is a wonderful venue to playa due to have world class facilities. Unlike others venue pitches Mumbai pitch is not similar to play on. So it is important to read the track properly and make right combination of the team.
According to the pitch report made by Sunil Gavaskar and Simon Doull
Pitch Report: "Generally the pitches over here are very good for batting. I don't see this being any different. No blade of grass. It is very hard and the ball will come on to the bat nicely. This is a pitch where couple of years back South Africa scored 400+. The batsmen enjoy the ball coming on to bat. We might see a bit of dew later which might take away the spin. It is difficult for the bowlers with the dew, but it will grip for the spinners. The ball will come on much more during the second innings,"
According to the pitch report both team had made the team combination as given below.
Teams:
India (Playing XI): Virat Kohli(c), Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Dinesh Karthik, Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni(w), Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal
New Zealand (Playing XI): Kane Williamson(c), Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Ross Taylor, Tom Latham(w), Henry Nicholls, Colin de Grandhomme, Mitchell Santner, Adam Milne, Tim Southee, Trent Boult
After winning the toss Indian captain Kholi opted to bat first.
Experts are talking about the decision to bat first because of the due factor at the second innings. It may not be easy for the bowler to control.
Indian opener Rohit sarma and Shaker dhawan start the Innings for team India. It was a comeback match for Shaker at ODI after the injury at ICC champion’s trophy. Unlike Australian blowers New Zealand bowlers are more experience and has verity in their line up. So, it would be good contest among them. Shekhar got out quickly and India lost their first wicket at 4th over at the score of 16. Now it’s time for the captain to come at the middle. On the other side Rohit is also looking edge and got out soon after shaker at the total of 29. Now it was totally depending on the middle order batsman and captain kholi. Another young K jadav fail to support kholi for longer time but come back boy D kartik stay with captain and made solid contribution of 37 runs. The partnership between Kholi and kartick of 73 runs help Indian to get out from the initial shock of the innings. After the kratick it was turn about MSD. Unlike MSD did not finish the task to remain at the very till of the innings. At 40th over Indian was in good position to make the score near about 300 with the batsman like hardik pandiya. On the other hand kholi was remaining solid at the very end of the innings. So it was obvious to score 300. At the end of the innings Kholi got out at 121 of 125 balls. At the end of the 50th over Indian score was 280 for 8 eight.

On the other hand New Zealand bowlers were more accurate and did well to restrict the strong batting line up to post huge total to chase. Boult really bowled well to keep the Indian batsman cool and took curtail 3 wickets others bowlers also did well and support Boult well. It was not easy track to bat on and get the total of 281 easily but it was a possibility of due factors and make the total easy to chase for the New Zealand batsman.

To chase down the total of 231 was not a big task for the strong batting line up. Kholi boys were looking confident to get the total and make the series 1-1. In this process Rohit Sharma and Shikhar open the innings but Rohit fail to help team Indian to chase the total. Then chase master Virat kholi came out of the center and made partnership of 54 and got out at 29 runs. After that it was comeback batsman krtik turns to lead the team towards the victory. Before got out shaker and kartick put match winning partnership and make sure that Indian would surely win the match and make the series 1-1. After that rest of the work was done by MSD and H pandiya. It was comprehensive win over New Zealand by team India.

On the other hand New Zealand blowers start well restrict the Indian strong batting line up within this score and make the series to New Zealand name but fail to do so due to responsible batting of Indian top and middle order batsman. Kiwis main line up bowler Tim Southee and boult did not bowled up to the expectation. Both bowlers fail to pick the wickets at the right time as well as restrict the batsman to score the runs. Other bowlers also try hard to depend the total but they also fail to do so. At the end it was comprehensive win for the Indian team.

India vs New Zealand, 2nd ODI 3rd ODI, Venue: Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune, Date & Time: Oct 25, 01:30 PM LOCAL

After winning the third match of the series Indian team was looking confident to make the series in the name of India and continue the record journey of winning the series at home. On the other hand kiwi team was in passer to come back solidly and make the series in their favor. It was tough call for the both teams to make right combination of the team. It was expecting that New Zealand may make change at their best eleven same as Indian but both teams were remain unchanged and come to field with previous elevens.
Pitch report was made by say the usual suspects Sunil Gavaskar and Simon Doull regarding their opinion on the 22-yard strip.
"The surface looks a good one to bat on. There is a bit of grass that will aid the new-ball bowlers initially but it should slow down as the game progresses. There would be some help for the spinners as well. Dew could come in a bit early here and perhaps with the temperatures not that high in the afternoon, the team winning the toss could opt to bowl as they can make use of the dew later on,"
According to the pitch report team is given below of New Zealand and India
India (Playing XI): Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli(c), Dinesh Karthik, Hardik Pandya, MS Dhoni(w), Kedar Jadhav, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal
New Zealand (Playing XI): Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Kane Williamson(c), Ross Taylor, Tom Latham(w), Henry Nicholls, Colin de Grandhomme, Mitchell Santner, Adam Milne, Tim Southee, Trent Boult
New Zealand has won the toss and have opted to field
It was series deciding match. So both teams were looking forward to get solid start. Indian team seems not much worry to have bating first. Both openers were not at the best of theire form but they have ability to fight back any time. Rohit and shaker was looking good and heading to put solid foundation at the beginning of the innings. Rohit stay solid but shaker failed to did so. He got out at 14. There after it was show of two best batsmen in the recent time Rohit Sharma and Virat Kholi. Both of them put solid partnership of 230 runs at 34th over’s. It was wonderful display of batting. It was clear the Indian is going to put big score in front of New Zealand team to chase in the series deciding match. After the dismissal of Rohit Sarma and Virat Kholi MSD and keder Jadav played really well and finish the run chase at high note. At the end of the 50th over Indian total were 337 for 6. So New Zealand was required to score 338 to chase the total and named the series to their name.

On the other hand New Zealand bowlers though start well but fail to continue the good job. Along with opening bowlers all others were also not in right track to maintain proper line and length and took the wickets at the right time. Indian batsmen were not in mood to give any chances to the kiwi bowlers at all.

To chase down the total of 338 runs was not easy task for the kiwi team. Black caps hard hitting batsman Martin Guptill was not in good touch at this series was a bit of concern for the New Zealand side too. Both Monru and Guptill went to chase down the mount total but they knew it was not impossible task for them. They put 44 runs at 5th over’s that showing the intent of the Kiwi batsman to chase down the total. After the wicket of guptill it was Kiwi captain turn to lad the batting line up and make sure to take the side home safely. Captain and colin was playing according to the situation and put partnership of 109 runs before colin monru got out at attacking 75 at just 62 balls. Thereafter captain kane William son also got out soon. Now it was totally depending on two middle order match winning batsman of New Zealand Ross Taylor and Tom Lethem. Both this batsman was awesome in first game and took New Zealand side at home safely. Now it is more hard and difficult situation for them to make the right decision and took the tam safely at home. Young left hander tom Lethem was really superb and took the attention of the world. Partnership of tom and tailor was looking dangerous for the Indian team but did not last long. Ross tailor got out at 40th over’s and open the door for both teams. Still tom was looking solid and committed to lead the kiwi to the winning side. After the dismissal of tom Lethem no one was there to support tom as a result it does create passer to tom and out at 48 over’s to play high risky shot. At the end of the innings of chasing the big total Indian was almost loosing the series but two virat go to man had other plan to restrict the kiwi batsman and named the series to Indian. Colin de Grandhomme known as hard heater batsman of New Zealand team wasn’t deliver the best according to the situation and only manage to score 8 of 11 balls. At the end of the innings India won the match by 7 runs. It was really hard breaking result for the kiwi team.

On the other hand Indian bowlers were aware of defending the total. They knew it is not going to easy for them to make the trophy at their name. Indian most dependable bowler B kumer was not in perfect shape to bowl with right length and line. He did not start well as he usually does. But Jasprit Bumrah was in right zone to restrict the kiwi batsman and named the series to Indian. Beside him Keder jadav was also impressive and took important wickets at the right time to get back at the game. Though B kummer was not at the right track at the initial stage of the game but did extremely well at the end of the innings and restrict the kiwi batsman to score runs freely.
